Oh, have you checked your Recycle Bin? Maybe the file might be in there, seeing you have to fully delete it from the Recycle Bin of your computer (rather it's PC or Mac).

If I recall, though, deleted files aren't immediately deleted. They're just set to be overwritten. If I'm not totally off the deep end here (and I could be,) there might be some utility out there to recover lost files. Google to the rescue, maybe?
