Portrait 2. The twin brother of the girl I last posted. His grandmother wanted him to look like a little prince with a dragon beside him. Designed a lot of patterns for clothes, stained glass window, and stone etc.
Perhaps the anime in me exaggerates the size of kids' heads. >_< ;;
From 'monstermo44' : "unfortunately all the portraits look awkward because the realism doesn't match up with all of your anime tendencies... maybe should try to make the faces more anime-ish too. :-/"

That boy looks near photorealistic. Did you actually use a real photograph for his head? I must say, I love it in contrast to the outfit, and the dragon in the background, all of which are splendidly designed. It makes it look like a depiction of the child's fantasy in his own mind.
And the light filtering through the leaves of the tree and the window is perfectly done. Simply brilliant work.
Yeah, the realism of the faces is separate from the more painterly technique in the rest of the painting, and it looks a little pasted on and a little creepy and weird. They're lovely works, but I think I would have tried to integrate the faces a bit more.
I agree.

I dunno o.õ
